Perception of the Future-DDTOP IPD Integrated Product Development Training
On 31 March, the Human Resources Department and the Technology Centre of DDTOP jointly planned and organized the training on “IPD Integrated Product Development”, which was attended by more than 60 staff from the Technology Centre, Marketing Centre, Finance Department, Marketing Department, Pump Industry Company, Measurement and Control Company and other subsidiaries of DDTOP. A senior lecturer from Huawei was invited to give the training.
During the training, Mr. Qiao combined the course with the current situation of the company’s R&D. Through thorough theoretical explanations and rich practical case discussions, he gave detailed training on IPD integrated product development to all participants. IPD Integrated Product Development is a set of product development models, concepts and methods introduced by Huawei from the original IBM. Through IPD, a product development process driven by market and customer needs can be established and product development can be effectively managed, thus achieving faster market response, reduced development costs and improved product stability, producibility and maintainability.
The training aims to promote management innovation and technological innovation and to increase the speed of product development innovation. By standardizing the combing of products or projects through IPD, the company’s R&D process can be reorganized to make product development more focused on the needs of the competitive market, establish a standardized and structured product development process, focus on market effectiveness, protect asset investment, and make overall product line management, the process of independent product development, and enterprise-level resource use is more efficient. Through IPD, issues such as how to position products ahead of competitors, how to ensure that new products are developed on time and in the right quality, and are sold and promoted within expectations, and how to ensure effective communication between the key links within the company such as marketing, sales, R&D and service, can be effectively addressed.
Huawei has achieved great success in the development of the enterprise through the management mode of IPD. Although DDTOP has achieved good performance in the industry nearly 30 years since its establishment, product development and enterprise development are still inseparable, and the bottleneck of technology lagging and talent shortage that domestic enterprises have faced in recent years still exists for us. For this reason, enterprises need to explore and find a more reasonable way for the future development of enterprises to seek a more reasonable way.
The training lasted for four days, completing a huge management project within a limited time frame. Every staff worked hard to keep learning, and during the discussions and case practice, both the core technical staff of the company and also the staff from other departments involved benefited a lot from it, believing that the future backbone of the company will become an integral part of the development, persevering and working hard to develop DDTOP better and better.
